Featured Artist: Drake Truber

Drake Truber embraces the influence of substantial drawing. His sketches are recognized for their kinetic quality and narrative energy. He has exhibited in various gallery and museum group shows including The Rochester Contemporary Art Center, Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and the Department of Education. His interest in languages nurtured the creation of two video games. Koine Crazy, teaching ancient Greek vocabulary, was released in Flash. His Unity game Vindac was in the Independent Game Festival. This Latin preposition game is now available on the Apple App Store. He is currently contracted to illustrate his second children’s book.

He enjoys attending various art workshops and has done some teaching. Truber was contracted to entertain with live caricature portraits for many clients such as University of Manchester, Village of Winona Art Fair, Graystone PMC, Indiana State Fair, Passages Art Show, and the City of Valparaiso. Truber is currently studying entertainment illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. He is a merit winner from the Dutch Mullet Art Memorial Scholarship, Lakeland Art Center, Scholastics National Portfolio Awards, and Art Center College. He also has interests in instructional theory, metaphysics, history, and writing.
