Why did you give up? My love,
You were swallowed by death’s greedy mouth,
And we tried to pull you out, but you pushed us away and accepted your ugly fate.
Saying, “there are things I must get done”.
Why did you give up? My love
You have been alive and dead before. My love,
You have come back to see the light from the sun, moon, and stars.
Why? My love, why do you prefer the light from the inferno now?
Our home: comfort of wood and stone and treasures from the 1000 stories we once told,
You are surrounded by fire and brimstone now, my love.
and you prefer it?
I don’t understand why my love.
Did you like that ride on the river of blood?
My love, I am sorry, I don’t understand.
